How to reach Rome
By Plane
Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (Fiumicino) is the main airport and is located about 30 km from the city center. You can take the Leonardo Express train to Roma Termini station (about 32 minutes), it runs every 15-30 mins. Taxis have a fixed fare of €50 to the city center.
Ciampino Airport is Rome secondary airport.
By Train
Rome’s central station is Roma Termini, which is well connected to major Italian cities like Milan, Florence, and Naples. High-speed trains (Frecciarossa, Italo) are the fastest option.
By Car
Rome is accessible via the A1 motorway (Autostrada del Sole), which connects the north and south of Italy. Be aware that traffic in Rome can be heavy, and parking is limited in the city center.
By Bus
Several long-distance bus companies operate routes to Rome from other Italian and European cities. Main bus terminals include Tiburtina and Anagnina.
